About my hair colour...

Quite a few people have asked me if I colour my hair and, if so, what product I use. So I thought I'd answer those questions today.

Most of my hair is my natural hair colour, but I do bleach some of it. I would say that I bleach a 3 inch wide section of hair, approximately, on the top of my head. So the very top layers of my hair are slightly lighter than my natural hair colour. You can see about half an inch of my natural hair colour (at the roots), in this picture:

I used to bleach all of my hair for ages, but nowadays I only ever bleach the roots. And I do that every other month or so. I do it myself, and I always use the same product:

Schwarzkopf Blonde in 10.1 Light Blonde

Let me know if you have any other questions about my hair ;)

FOTD - August 17th

Today I'm just at home, studying for an exam. I don't have time to film and edit any videos right now, but I do have time to write a quick blog post, so I thought I'd show you guys the makeup I'm wearing today :)

I primed my lid with my NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk.

All the eyeshadows I used are from my Sleek Oh So Special palette (see picture below).
I used...
♥ the 2nd one from the bottom row on my lid
♥ the 5th one from the top row in my crease
♥ a combination of the last one from the top row and the 2nd one from the bottom row under my eye
♥ the 1st one from the top row as a highlight on my brow bone

I lined my upper lash line with an eyeliner pencil by Nivea Beauté in 07 Titan, and applied two coats of L'Oréal's Volume Million Lashes mascara.

On my cheeks I'm wearing my e.l.f. studio blush in Tickled Pink, and on my lips I'm wearing a lipstick by NYX in the colour Harmonica, plus a lipgloss by Face Stockholm in the colour Cyklamen.

Review: Calvin Klein Intense Eyeshadow in Brown Velvet

Brown Velvet is the first makeup product I ever tried by Calvin Klein. I've been a fan of their perfumes for years, but didn't know about their makeup until quite recently. Being the makeup junkie that I am, of course I had to try it...

So far, I have tried two different makeup products by Calvin Klein - their Electric Edge Liquid Eyeliner Pen, and this eyeshadow, and I really like both of them!

I didn't really have high expectations for this eyeshadow, because I hadn't heard anyone talk about it, but I must say that I am very pleasantly surprised by the quality of it. Brown Velvet is definitely one of the most pigmented eyeshadows I own, and I love the colour! I'm a big fan of neutrals... if you have watched my videos on youtube, you'll know how much I love my UD Naked palette, for example. And this eyeshadow is just as good as the eyeshadows in that palette. However, Calvin Klein eyeshadows are a lot cheaper than the ones Urban Decay, which is always a plus ;)

This is one of my favourite ways to wear Brown Velvet:

I'm wearing Modelette by Mac on my lid, and Brown Velvet in my crease

Also, the packaging of this eyeshadow is absolutely gorgeous! All in all, this is a great eyeshadow. I honestly can't find anything wrong with it; it's incredibly well pigmented and easy to work with, the packaging is beautiful, and, compared to other eyeshadows of the same quality, it's not expensive at all. I paid £2.99 for mine, and I bought it online, at eastendcosmetics.co.uk. I haven't seen Calvin Klein makeup in stores here in Sweden, but I do believe that it's sold in some stores in the US.

Nails of the day - Incoco Dry Nail Appliqué

I found this little manicure kit by Incoco on sale the other day, and I just couldn't resist them. It's a complete manicure kit, containing 20 colour strips, a cuticle stick, a mini file and a nail polish removal cloth, and I've wanted to try something like this for a long time. I've heard a lot of people on youtube talk about the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips, and I believe that this is pretty much the same thing.

There weren't many colours left to choose from, but I managed to find an absolutely beautiful light pink colour with shimmer that will go perfectly with any outfit I can think of. Now, I got them on sale for 21SEK (approximately £2), but they are normally sold for 69 SEK, which I think is a little pricey. So I probably wouldn't wear this type of nail polish every day, but I thought it would be a really nice thing to do sometimes, for special occasions.

This weekend I am visiting my parents (and I didn't bring my camera, so I'm sorry about the quality of these photos), and tomorrow is my grandfather's 80th birthday, so we will go to his birthday party tomorrow night. I've used my Incoco manicure kit for the first time tonight and I'm hoping that my nails will still look good tomorrow. So far I am very happy with the results - my nails look absolutely beautiful! The only question is how long this manicure will last? Incoco claims that it'll last up to 14 days - I think that sounds a little too good to be true, but who knows? I'll get back to you when I have the answer ;)

FOTD - August 10th

Since I was so happy with my makeup yesterday, I went for a cut crease look today as well. I'm so into cut crease looks right now! You'll see me wearing this makeup in my latest video ;)

I used two of the eyeshadows in my metallic eye quad by Beauty UK for the first time, and they were actually very easy to work with. Considering how cheap they are, I really didn't have high expectations for them, but the quality is surprisingly good!

I...
♥ primed my lids with Urban Decay's Primer Potion
♥ applied a thin layer of my NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk
♥ drew a line slightly above my crease using a felt tip liner by Calvin Klein
♥ applied the 3rd eye shadow in my Beauty UK metallic eye quad in Pinks on my lid
♥ applied UD's Oil Slick over and above the black liner and blended it up towards my brow
♥ applied UD's Flash over top of the black eyeshadow
♥ highligted my brow bone using UD's Uzi eyeshadow
♥ applied MAC's Nylon eyeshadow to my inner corner
♥ applied a combination of the 4th eyeshadow in my Beauty UK metallic eye quad and UD's Grifter under my eye
♥ applied some white eyeliner to my waterline
♥ applied UD's Oil Slick as a winged eyeliner on my upper lashline
♥ curled my lashes and applied two coats of L'Oréal's Volume Million Lashes mascara

On my cheeks I'm wearing a Natural Lip & Cheek Tint by Sula in the colour Whatever Comes Next, and on my lips I'm wearing a little bit of e.l.f.'s mineral lipstick in Natural Nymph :)
